Design Le Corbusier (1928) – Armchair and sofas with polished chrome plated or glossy basalt, grey, light blue, green, bordeaux and ochre, or matte black enamel steel frame. Loose cushions with polyurethane and polyester padding. Leather and fabric upholstery. As well as the distinctive symbol of authenticity of the Cassina brand (which includes a progressive production number, the signatures of the designers and the Cassina I Maestri logo) found on all models, the Cassina signature will now also be visible on the base of the metallic frames of the LC2, LC3 and LC4 seats. This logo indicates that Cassina is the only company with exclusive international rights to reproduce Le Corbusiner furniture. This is in accordance with Fondazione Le Corbusier and the heirs of the codesigners that, since 1964, have chosen Cassina as their exclusive spokesperson due to its sensibility and respect for the original project, as well as its consolidated production expertise. |

The enveloping design is exalted by the free play of folds that the leather creates across all of the internal part of the backrest, making it pleasantly undulating. The precious contrasting stitching along the seams and on the external surfaces of the upholstery creates a refined elegance. The frame of the backrest and seat is in steel with polyurethane foam padding, moulded, expanded and shaped with polyester wadding in the zones where more comfort is needed. Springiness is obtained from elastic belts and the base is made up of four feet in cast aluminium and tubular steel frame with a gunmetal grey finishing. The upholstery of the shell is in Pelle Frau® leather. |

Designer Naoto Fukasawa. Once more, the language of the Japanese designer tends to accent details, even the least perceptible ones. Shapes carefully balanced to shift from the sinuous curves of the back to the lightness of the frame. The frame presents a constant thickness that widens at the top for a comfortable, relaxing posture. Covered in fabric or leather, the covers can be removed thanks to a metal zip fastener that is marks the back. |
