The story of the Barovier family, so long and fascinating, has not limited the evolution of the business. Today, Barovier&Toso is an international company devoted to maintain and innovate the glass tradition starting from the tradition itself. The company mission is to offer decorative lighting products that give emotions, transmit positive feeling, create special atmosphere, whose value is not mere appearance but real and increasing through time.
The company target is the high-end lighting market, where Barovier&Toso is the top producer as for product range extension, quality, innovation and customer support in projecting and customizing lighting fixtures.
Barovier&Toso has no direct competitors in its market, as other glass factories are involved in other kind and level of production. Nonetheless, there are many glass factories, both in Murano and elsewhere, that endlessly copy Barovier&Toso’s original ideas and products: great effort is spent to protect brand identity, innovations and design through every legal means (brand registration, product patents, design patents).
Taif Barovier&Toso
Taif was created in 1980 for the home of the Saudi king in the eponymous city of Taif, whence comes the name. Angelo Barovier, who conceived the design, rethought the image of the traditional Murano chandelier, preserving the value of blown glass while incorporating new languages. An amalgam, then, of tradition and creativity, of memory and innovation, from which blossoms the time-tested equilibrium of the classical.

Pandora Barovier&Toso
Graceful like creatures from a distant planet who are floating among the natives of a fantasy world, Pandora is a family of suspension chandeliers with 5, 8 and 10 arms and a matching two-light wall lamp. The chromed base, which is decorated with a L.E.D. illuminated element (the light source is included), supports the arms rising up into a large lampshade which screens the traditional light bulbs and diffuses the light. The black lampshade is also available with a gilded interior.
Perseus Barovier&Toso
Daring enhancement of the Murano tradition, Perseus is composed of a large number of glass elements that represent a compendium of the glassmaking techniques studied and developed by Barovier&Toso in the course of its long history, here reinterpreted, paired, and mixed in a subversive way with respect to the canons of classicism. This chandelier looks like a dazzling explosion of glass, carefully balanced in volume, in the alternation of different colors (in three color combinations), in the asymmetrical game of the arms. The frame is chromed and the lighting is LED, which is supplied with the suspension.
Matrioska Barovier&Toso
Large lampshades, ribbed glass, and chrome-plated steel are the characteristics of this family of drop lighting. Four versions come in a straight line with from two to five lights, but there is also a square version with four lights. Matrioska also comes in a one-light sconce. The shades come in black and white, and the glass comes in a range of seven colors.
Optical Barovier&Toso
A series of chandelier/ceiling lamps composed of a cascade of spheres crafted with a “bark-like” effect and hand-cut, on which the light of the halogen downlighters – up to 9, boxed into the chromed support – is reflected, creating attractive lighting effects. Three sizes are available, each in two heights, making a total of six models. Halogen spots are included.
Exagon Barovier&Toso
Transparent lotus leaves, embellished with tiny gold flakes or in pale colors, float in the air, lit by L.E.Ds which highlight their forms. Three or five energy-saving halogen lamps (included) are embedded in the chrome-plated plate. The L.E.D. holder has the same finish and is available as an optional.
Veronese Barovier&Toso
The exquisitely pure lines of the vase painted by Venetian painter Veronese are given an elegant, contemporary new look. Wooden base and supports, burnished brass details, beveled and textured crystal interior reflector. The halogen light bulb is included.
Ikebana Barovier&Toso
Tradition marries innovative materials in this collection of lamps. A white or black sanded glass base is topped with a shade in a high-tech fabric.
My Marylin Barovier&Toso
Diffuser made of white glass and precious rock crystals that, like bracelets, wrap around the base of the lamp, almost like the arm of a movie star. Two table- and one floor-lamp are available. Metal parts painted opaque black.
Marta Barovier&Toso
Spheres featuring a bark-effect texture are the highlight of this family of lamps that includes table and floor options. Supplied with black or white shade. Polished chrome stem is inviting to the touch; clear plastic wiring.
Athena Barovier&Toso
With its large proportions and volumes, Athena is a floor lamp constructed by superimposing three geometric shapes with three different finishes. A lampshade in blown opal glass above a stem in transparent or coloured crystal and a base in metal with velvety rubber finish. The main light is halogen, the central part is L.E.D..
